Faculty Members
The Department of Medicine is in the College
of Medicine.
The Department of Medicine has developed a program designed to introduce
medical students to the responsibility of care of the patient. Together
with the staff, students will interview and examine patients, explore what is
known of the pathophysiology of the various disorders and observe the effect
of appropriate therapeutic modalities. Students will be assigned
patients on the inpatient wards and in the outpatient clinics. The
Department of Medicine includes the following subspecialties all of which have
ongoing clinical activity as well as clinical and/or basic science research
studies: cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general
medicine, geriatrics, hematology/oncology, Indian health services, infectious
diseases, integrative medicine, nephrology, pulmonary, and rheumatology.
