The Department of Chemistry is in the College of Science.

Degrees, Majors, Minors, and Options:

Baccalaureate Degrees

• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
• Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

Graduate Degrees -- consult the Graduate Catalog or the department office for details.

• Master of Arts (M.A.)
• Master of Science (M.S.)
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The undergraduate programs do not require a minor; however, students may select an optional minor from among the list of approved University minors.  Minors available within the department are:

• Chemistry Minor
• Chemistry Teaching Minor

The Department of Chemistry provides both general and professional training, giving a strong foundation upon which to base a career in the fields of medicine and related health sciences, in secondary education, or leading to industrial work or graduate specialization in chemistry.

The department participates in the honors program.
