The Department: The Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies is in the College of Education. The department is committed to scholarship and leadership in the development of theory and practice related to the empowerment of individuals with disabilities and special abilities. The department's research, teaching, and service address current issues in special education, rehabilitation, school counseling, school psychology and sign language studies. The department offers professional preparation of special education teachers and specialists, teachers of the gifted and talented, rehabilitation counselors and psychologists, school psychologists and administrators, school psychologists, researchers, and teacher educators.
