Directed Studies in Cultural and Natural History: Silver Lake Project (3) [Rpt./ 9 units] S This course is a multi-year field research project focused on the exploration, description, and interpretation of cultural and natural features associated with Silver Lake, an alpine environment and historic mine site in the San Juan Mts. of southwestern Colorado. P, consent of the instructor for non-AIC students. AIDI 478A. Directed Studies in Sustainable Development (3) I II This course stresses the practical application of skills learned, including research skills, communications experience, and extensive computer applications to complete at least one hands-on project on a specific social, economic, and/or environmental issue in the world today.
