Course Description

Introductory aspects of nuclear engineering, including the nuclear physics of nuclear reactors, interaction of radiation with matter, nuclear reactor theory, reactor heat removal, radiation protection, and radiation shielding. Graduate-level requirements include additional lesson on reactor physics called Transport Theory--high-level mathematical concept; students will be tested on the theory.
