The objective of this seminar is to provide an introduction to the various areas and methodologies used in accounting research. The seminar will cover concepts of the scientific method, the philosophy of science, an introduction to topics in accounting research, and research design. In addition you will obtain exposure to the research interests of the current faculty as they introduce you to the research area(s) they work in and methodologies they primarily use.
