Course Description

This course examines manuscript illumination painting, sculpture and prints produced in European regions North of the Alps. Graduate-level requirements include a significantly larger and more critical research paper than the 400-level students; extra monthly meetings outside class to discuss additional readings in terms of content and methodology; oral in-class presentation of research process and results.
