Course Description
This is an online interdisciplinary course that approaches \"place\" through a process of daily discovery. Students use their own bodies in the \"lab,\" public environments, urban or otherwise, wherever they are located during the 3 weeks of the course's duration. To probe and map a relationship to the \"place\" through daily walking/wandering exercises aimed at getting beyond the monumental or oblivious navigation of location. A computer and a reliable internet connection throughout the course, as well as access to a digital or video camera once during the course is required. Questions regarding specific equipment and technological needs in addition to those listed above should be directed to the instructor. Graduate-level requirements include a ten-minute PowerPoint presentation linking their work, discoveries or research to a relevant artist or collective.
