Course Description
This course follows the creation of a picture book from concept to finished proposal. Character, voice, and the interplay of text and illustrations are examined as means to effective story telling, overview of contemporary and classic book illustration. Graduate-level requirements include two reports. One on the work, life and historical context of an artist. The other on the elements and structure of a specific book.
