Course Description
Seminar course introducing effective strategies for developing a career in the arts. Students will produce artist statements, vitae, proposals for grants, residencies, exhibitions, and art related opportunities. Students will visit museums, galleries, artist studios and have discussions with curators and arts professionals. A key component of this course is preparation for the MFA thesis exhibition. This course consists of research, discussion, and projects related to the presentation and dissemination of work in the context of contemporary professional practice.
