Course Description
The objective of this course is to study global emerging markets and familiarize students with cultural aspects of these emerging economies and their relation to business. Study will include a combination of on-campus classes and lectures and a 2 1/2 week study tour to a foreign country. Proposed countries: India, China. Graduate-level requirements include additional research and submission of an exhaustive paper on 'The impact of Business with the Country of Focus on the United States'. Particular emphasis should be on the following: jobs in the IT sector, outsourcing, changing landscape of the American labor market in terms of skills needed.
