Course Description

[Usually offered every three semesters beginning Fall 2007] Differential equations governing unsteady flow in open channels. Simple surface waves in subcritical and supercritical flows. Introduction of kinematic, diffusion, and dynamic wave methods. Applications to reservoir routing, dam break flow, and overland flow. Graduate-level requirements includes a project paper.
