Course Description

Introduction to the language and culture(s) of less commonly taught languages, developing basic communication skills for learners with no prior knowledge of the language. Students will learn basic vocabulary, everyday expressions, and simple sentence structures through guided self-instructional methods and weekly intensive, small-group tutorials. Language specified in course section number. See clp.arizona.edu for specific course learning outcomes. Counts towards CLP Minor and Language Requirement. Students with prior knowledge of or experience with the language being taught should contact the Critical Languages Program to arrange a placement test.
