ART537A - Foundation Digital 3D Modeling, Rendering and Rapid Protyping
Course ID
014687
Course Description
This course introduces fundamental theories, principles, and practices of 3D digital modeling, rendering, and rapid prototyping. Students are given a thorough overview of 3D modeling techniques including: production of geometric and organic surfaces and forms using both NURBs and polygon construction, texturing, and lighting. Minimal materials fee for rapid prototyping assignment. Graduate-level requirements include an additional independently defined project that addresses a theoretical, historical, or technical aspect of 3D modeling and rendering.
