This clinical preceptorship offers the student participation in clinical and public health care in a developing nation context. Emphasis is on understanding local health problems and combined clinical and community approaches to them. Emphasis in this preceptorship will vary with the nature of the clinical site. Our preference is for district-level hospitals, especially those having community health programs in the surrounding area.
