Course Description

This course will provide theoretical and practical training in the procedures of X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and electron microprobe techniques, used to characterize minerals and identify unknown samples. Students will learn to use the equipment and interpret results. Graduate-level requirements include demonstrating deeper understanding of the physics behind the experimental phenomena
