Course Description
Students in this course work as the editorial staff to produce a bilingual magazine for the Hispanic communities of South Tucson and southern Arizona. Includes intensive study of the problems and responsibilities of journalism, as well as opportunities for applying advanced photography, page design, and long-form writing skills. Graduate-level requirements include serving as editors of the magazine, directing the efforts of undergraduate reporters, photographers and designers. Responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, fairness and objectivity of the publication. Includes writing a major paper concerning a media management issue.
