This course examines constitutional doctrines that regulate the criminal adjudication process (the criminal process \"from bail to jail\") and considers statutory and other sources of regulation that are relevant to those constitutional doctrines. The topics covered include prosecutorial charging decisions, bail and pretrial release, the right to counsel, discovery, plea bargaining, jury rights, sentencing, and double jeopardy.
