Course Description
Provides a comprehensive chronological survey of European art music composed during the Middle Ages (c. 800-1400 C.E.). Students will become acquainted with a wide variety of vocal and instrumental music from this period through score study and listening assignments. Graduate-level requirements include preparing a 50 pt. Research Prospectus.
