Course Description
A seminar-style graduate course devoted to the development and exchange of scholarly information concerning various music history topics. Students will investigate relevant sub-topics, scholarly issues, and musical works through bibliographic research and musical analysis, and exchange their research through discussion, reports, and papers. The course prepares students to undertake independent doctoral research by providing them with a firm bibliographic and musical grounding in specific music historical topics.
