Course Description
Provide further understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment (medical and surgical) of cerebrovascular disease. The student will gain experience with diagnostic techniques including duplex carotid scanning and relevant neuroradiological procedures. There will also be opportunities to participate in ongoing cerebrovascular disease research at UAMC. The elective entails reading the cerebrovasculature literature and related books or articles.
