This course will explore history, definitions, and applications related to health policy, economics, and advocacy. Students will be prepared to discuss the complexities of health policy development, implementation, and evaluation, to engage in comparative analysis of the U.S. and international health care systems, and to understand the role of policy competency and advocacy in advanced practice nursing and nursing science.
