Course Description
This overview course provides students the opportunity to examine health disparities experienced among diverse populations in the context of vulnerability and its impact on the health experiences of individuals, families, and communities. Students examine the concepts of determinants of health, health disparities and explore methods for achieving health equity among a select population, conceptualize vulnerability, apply metatheoretical perspectives, and middle range theories to use in their scholarly work.
