Course Description
This course is designed to expose students of public administration and public policy to conflict resolution and management skills. The course covers the nature of conflict and disputes in the public sector as well as traditional and non-traditional methods of managing disputes such as coercion, negotiation, arbitration, mediation, and litigation. The course requires participation in a group project that exposes students to interests of parties in real-world public policy conflicts in and around Tucson.
