Course Description
Function in an intern-like role as primary care provider for a selected number of newborns having specific problems: respiratory distress, healthy growing preterm infants, suspect sepsis, neurologically suspect, small for gestational age, infant of diabetic mother. Diagnostic and management skills in the neonate will be developed in the following areas: History taking, Physical exam, Procedures, Documentation of progress in chart.
