Course Description
The elective rotation in Pediatric Nephrology offers the medical student the opportunity to participate in the clinical care of children across a wide spectrum of renal diseases. At the completion of the elective, the student is expected to be competent in the assessment and management of: fluid and electrolyte problems, congenital and acquired diseases of the kidney, acute and chronic renal failure, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome hypertension dialysis, transplantation.
