Course Description
This course will be similar to 815Z: Adolescent Medicine, but will have a focus on adolescent reproductive health. Upon successful completion of this elective, the student will be able to: 1 - perform a competent H-E-A-D-S adolescent assessment, and identify and address an adolescent's high-risk behaviors; 2 - competently perform an adolescent history and physical examination; 3 - perform a competent adolescent pelvic examination, and 4 - be able to provide reproductive health advice to adolescents, including sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy prevention, and (optionally) pregnancy termination counseling.
