Course Description

This course presents the most cutting edge approaches for studying the molecular pharmacology of intracellular signaling pathways and drug transport mechanisms. A particular emphasis is placed on rational drug design and the discovery and validation of novel drug targets. Currently marketed drugs will be discussed in detail to demonstrate how efficacious concentrations are achieved in a target tissue and to understand how drugs work at the molecular level.
