Course Description

This course is the first in the pharmacy practice that focuses on pharmacy practice in the community setting (retail and hospital). Topics covered include workflow, introduction to law, interpretation of prescriptions, interactions with staff and patents, principles of dispensing of medications, review of pharmaceutical calculations, top 300 medications (Brand, Generic, FDA indications, ADR, Counseling), introduction to drug information, USP <797> and USP <800>.
