Course Description
This is a culminating course in the preparation of physics teachers. It is required for students in the College of Science Teacher Preparation Program who plan to teach physics. The course focuses on the understanding of central ideas in physics traditionally included in the secondary school curriculum. Additionally, the course helps students identify and assess physics concepts that secondary level students are likely to have difficulty understanding. Students will create curriculum plans, compile resources for physics teaching, and examine physics lab safety regulations.
