Course Description

This course is an upper level introduction to topics in Cognitive Science, which is an interdisciplinary field that studies intelligence in all of its guises - human, animal, and computer. The field combines approaches from Psychology, Computer Science, Linguistics, and Philosophy. The course begins by outlining different approaches to intelligence (e.g., logic, rules, etc.) and turns to a set of problems that Cognitive Science must address (e.g., consciousness, evolution, etc.).
