Course Description

Topics will focus on three major areas - the visual system, learning and memory, and cognition. The series takes a comparative approach, considering brain and behavioral mechanisms in insects, birds, rodents, non-human primates and people, discussing the neural substrates of behavior as assessed by various methodologies: ethnology - neuronal activity in behaving animals - brain imaging studies in people - studies of the effects of brain damage.
