Course Description

The purpose of this course is to provide you with a clinically useful knowledge of 1) introductory concepts of pharmacology; 2) commonly used drugs and their effect on patient hearing, balance, emotional, physical and cognitive function; 3) current controversies and research on oto-protective pharmaceuticals; and 4) the cost/benefit ratio different methods for ototoxity monitoring and audiologic management for those who are exposed to ototoxic medications. This course is reading and writing intensive.
