Course Description

This course explores the perspective of an artist through the lens of acting. You will practice and develop your performance skills through twice weekly workshops and learn the history, context, and theories of acting in a weekly lecture. We will discuss the unique relationship acting has to power, privilege, representation, and how the future of acting can be more inclusive. You will create and perform your own content, interpret and perform the work of others, and learn to evaluate performances through writing.
