Course Description
What is performed art and how do artists create theatrical events? What qualities are inherent in the artistic process of making theatre? What choices are individual artists making to contribute to the results? How are these performances imagined, realized, and received by audiences? What value does the work of theatre artists hold in our culture and why is it important to our future? This course examines the characteristics of performed theatrical art and the collaborative process of bringing artistic inspiration to production.
