Course Description
Students will be expected to attend Orthopaedic Surgery Grand Rounds conferences (2 hours each) and/or view Primary Care Lectures from the series provided on the departmental website, for a total of 10 activities. Students will need to create a login to access the Primary Care Lectures. Students will do a 5-6 slide PowerPoint presentation of a case study from current literature. The presentation will include
- a case summary with appropriate images
- a resolution to the problem described in the study
- discussion of why things were done as they were
- a minimum of two citations
Students must also review 15 topics from the OKO website and provide outlines of each topic. Attendance at a mandatory visiting professor seminar, as determined by the supervising faculty, is also required. Honors are available by attending 5 additional Orthopaedic Surgery Grand Rounds conferences or case summaries from the Primary Care Lecture Series and 1 additional topic on OKO.
