Course Description
Students will develop and refine critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills in the ambulatory setting. Emphasis will be on the diagnosis and management of the illnesses that present at primary care facilities. Students will be taught to incorporate the principles of preventive and prospective medicine into clinical practice and to effectively use the health care team in patient assessment. The clerkship is a required course for all medical students.
