Course Description

This course will cover applied aspects of weed management in the low deserts of Arizona. The focus will be on chemical and non-chemical techniques used in the production of field and vegetable crops. Weed identification and classification will be covered. Non-chemical weed management will include cultural, mechanical and biological control methods. Chemical control will include herbicide mode of action, adjuvants, resistance and soil persistence. Field projects will be conducted.
