Course Description

This course serves as an introduction to the practice and scholarship of teaching the visual arts - art and visual culture education, art history, and studio art - within higher education. We will tackle the questions: what do we do in the visual arts higher education classroom, why do we do it, and how can we do it? Teaching in conjunction with leadership positions in university and other academic environments, such as museums and cultural institutions, will also be examined.
