Course Description
Students will be assigned daily to work with a faculty member and a resident on specified operative cases. In addition, the student is provided with a daily reading/task curriculum to guide their learning experience. An appropriate Anesthesiology textbook is provided to the student for the duration of the rotation. Didactic sessions include daily conference (6:30 - 7:30) and Wednesday morning lecture and clinical conference (6:30 - 8:30). Emphasis of the rotation is perioperative patient management and the curriculum will focus on subject matters with significant overlap into other specialties.
