Course Description
This course is organized as an introduction to entrepreneurial principles for those seeking to develop an owner-operated, lifestyle business. The primary audience for this course is those interested in starting a business in the traditional small-business mode. If you want to own your own business or develop your own venture, this course introduces the entrepreneurial mind-set, examines the initiation of entrepreneurial ventures, explains entrepreneurial businesses, and guides students through initial steps in developing a feasibility study as preparation for a business plan.
Drawing on textbook readings, articles, and podcasts, the course provides an overview of entrepreneurial principles for use in a variety of organizational settings, including start-up ventures, small businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and other business and non-business activities.
