Course Description

Drama and dance are modes of creative expression used to communicate ideas, values, stories and myths which help define a community or culture. Both art forms employ the human body as the medium through which an audience may be engaged. Through ever-changing conventions, drama and dance reshape human experience into patterns which help us order our perceptions about the world in which we live. This course will focus primarily on principal themes in western culture as expressed in drama and dance.
