Course Description

This class is designed for students who have no or little experience with computer programming, and is geared toward life science and psychology majors. Students will use the Matlab programming environment and learn to write basic data analyses programs, to set up graphic display of data and analysis results and to manage inputs and outputs to files. This course is hands on, and the emphasis is on one dimensional (sequences) data. Graduate-level requirements include additional homework assignments and will be asked to give a presentation and write Matlab code to demonstrate the functionality of selected Matlab toolboxes.
