Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of positive youth programing and its implications to adolescent development. The course will focus on the theories and practices of youth development, as they relate to the work of those individuals who work directly or indirectly with young people (e.g., teachers, case workers, youth development program coordinators, and others). Topics covered in this course will include adolescent development, applied developmental science, moral development, learning, and program evaluation.
