Course Description

This course is intended to introduce students to a range of experimental methodologies, to teach them to read the work critically to understand and evaluate the methodology itself, and to implement that knowledge by designing, running, analyzing, and presenting a pilot study. For graduate students, these are skills of importance in their graduate careers and beyond; for undergraduates it provides an opportunity to consolidate their learning in other linguistic classes as well as providing them with research experience prior to beginning graduate school.
