Course Description
This introductory course to Prevention & Wellness covers interventions recommended by the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) in conjunction with more in-depth prevention tools such as nutrition, physical activity, supplements, mind-body medicine, sleep, and spirituality. The course is primarily web-based and is conducted mainly as an independent learning course (approximately 18-20 hours completion time for nine modules). Before and after completing the online course modules, students will have face-to-face instructional sessions with course faculty. Total estimated time commitment for this course is approximately 26 hours (2 face-to-face sessions with faculty + completion of online course content.)
