Course Description

The Experimental Design course consists of two eight hour lectures conducted over two consecutive Saturdays during the Fall semester. It is designed to provide students with the conceptual tools needed to conduct research in experimental biology. Lectures will include discussion of experimental results taken from the literature and evaluation of the experimental design from the literature. Students who complete the class should develop the ability to design experiments, analyze data, interpret results, formulate hypotheses, and interpret and organize research results.
