Course Description

This course guides graduate students in sociology through the process of designing and carrying out a major, original research project. MA-level students will concentrate on developing first drafts of their MA papers. Dissertation-level students will concentrate on developing and drafting their dissertation proposals. The course will offer all students practical guidance on issues such as proposal writing, obtaining IRB approval, and seeking funding to support their research.
