Course Description
At the end of the rotation the medical student will have an awareness of the breadth and depth of the practice of anesthesiology. The student will develop an understanding of the physiology and pharmacology essential to anesthesiology for adults and pediatric patients, including pain management. The student will participate in all aspects of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine within surgical care including preoperative assessment, administration of anesthesia and intraoperative management and postoperative care.
