Course Description
Students will learn the skill of completing a musculoskeletal examination in children and adolescents, acquire knowledge in the physiology and pathophysiology of rheumatic diseases in children, and develop basic knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and rheumatic diseases in children. Students will participate in the diagnosis and management of inpatients and outpatients with rheumatic diseases, diagnostic procedures associated with evaluating children with rheumatic disease, and participate in both informal discussions as well as an assigned case based presentation on a topic associated with pediatric rheumatology.
